Europe's largest waterfall is an unforgettable wonder of nature. You can admire the spectacular falls free of charge from various vantage points.
A boat will take you right up close to the breathtaking volumes of water and the tremendous sound of the falls. Mediaeval Laufen Castle, with views of the Rhine Falls, houses a restaurant, youth hostel and souvenir shop.
You can reach the Rhine Falls by train via the 'Schloss Laufen' or 'Neuhausen Rheinfall' stations (journey time: 5 minutes from Schaffhausen). You can walk to the Rhine Falls from there in just a few minutes.
