Is there snow on the ground in Switzerland in summer as well?

Depending on the temperature, there may be isolated falls of snow in the mountains during summer but in most cases, the snow only stays on the ground for a short period. The first snow often falls in November and it frequently stays on the ground throughout the winter. During summer, you can experience snow on our unique glaciers. The Saas-Fee and Zermatt skiing areas are also open in summer.
