What is the difference between Regional Passes and the Swiss Travel Pass?

The Regional Passes, as opposed to the Swiss Travel Pass, are only valid for specific regions of Switzerland. and therefore the ideal choice if you plan to visit only that specific part of the country. They allow for free travel by train, bus and boat and grant discounts on mountain railway and cableway trips in the corresponding region.
The Swiss Travel Pass, on the other hand, entitles you to unlimited travel throughout Switzerland.
