Of course, your journey wouldn’t be complete without a snack or hearty lunch. Fortunately, you won’t need to go hungry on board the trains and boats. This also applies to all premium panoramic trains.
Most of the InterCity trains of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) serve freshly prepared meals in their own on-board restaurant or bistro. The high-quality ingredients are mostly from Switzerland. Fine Swiss wines, beers and soft drinks can also be found on the menu.
Catering options are also indicated in the timetable with a knife and fork symbol (restaurant) or a glass symbol (bistro). SBB restaurants and bistros are open from 6:30 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Guests’ culinary wellbeing is also a top priority at Switzerland’s lakes. From Lake Constance to Lake Geneva, larger cruisers generally have their own restaurant. The menu features specialities of all kinds from local lakes and the surrounding countryside.
